American artist Mary GrandPré designed the book covers for the US editions of all seven Harry Potter books, as well as black-and-white chapter artwork. In addition, she created a number of gorgeous illustrations depicting some of the most noteworthy scenes from the books.
Early concepts & unreleased artwork
GrandPré also produced numerous preliminary sketches and concepts while developing the artwork for the US editions of the Harry Potter books, including a version of the Sorcerer’s Stone cover artwork with the original working title, Harry Potter and the School of Magic.
