students-awarded-tourTo reward them for their successful fundraising efforts for Comic Relief, Big Brother host Davina McCall invited twelve students and teachers from Parmiter’s School to a tour of the Harry Potter set at Leavesden Studios. There, the group will have the opportunity to talk with stars and watch some filming.

dd-hbp-video-gameThe BBC recently interviewed James Hannigan, the video game music composer for the last two Harry Potter games, on the challenge of writing music that does not follow conventional linear narrative, like a film might. After calling the video game player both an audience member and a participant of the game, Hannigan goes on to speak about developmental music goals:

“I like to consider issues about how the music gets used, and what the designers are trying to achieve with the game. To have a game where the music doesn’t feel like an afterthought, you have to have the music as an integral part of the game design.”

argus-filchDavid Bradley, who plays Argus Filch in the Harry Potter films, recently gave brief feedback on his friendly relationship with the teen actors and how he jokes around with them on set.

The Telegraph reports that he stated, “I first met them when they were about 10 years old, and now they say when they see me: ‘David, give me five!’ and I reply: ‘Get lost!'” The article goes on to mention Bradley’s current work on the stage.

Domhnall Gleeson as Bill Weasley? Domhnall Gleeson as Bill Weasley?

Broadway.com is reporting that Domhnall Gleeson is “expected to” sign on to Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows to play Bill Weasley. There have been no official confirmations as of yet, but he does look the part. If he joins the cast, he’ll be joining his father Brendan Gleeson, who plays Mad-Eye Moody.
